Security Trainee Service Engineer

To learn and develop as a Security service engineer maintaining client’s security systems comprising of Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems to current NSI ‘Gold’ and Industry standards. The role will involve working with an existing established experienced Security engineer and the opportunity to develop a long-term career with the company. This includes a recognized NVQ qualification undertaken at a local technical college in conjunction with on-the-job training and dedicated Security equipment manufacturer’s training programs.

Typical Responsibilties

  • To learn daily the requirements to service and fault find on the Security systems.
  • Under the guidance and support of the lead Security engineer show initiative to learn and develop into the role of a full Security engineer over time.
  • To effectively communicate with Protec staff and client’s alike to undertake your daily duties.
  • Learn Health and Safety requirements mandatory to the company to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • To arrive punctually on time to your local appointed meeting place and have an exemplary attendance record.
  • Prepare and submit on a weekly basis an accurate timesheet of all employed activities.
  • The post will comprise of a 40 hours basic working week with travelling time paid as required. Out of pocket expenses will be re-imbursed if approved in advance.
  • Any other fair and reasonable request made by Protec Security Management team or company representative.
