An EVCS is a fixed, secure, bi-directional, full duplex voice communication system to assist firefighters and management during emergencies in high-rise buildings or large sites where radio communication cannot be guaranteed to work due to interference from the fire plasma.

The EVX-OSB-G is a type B outstation exclusively for use as part of a refuge alarm system; it’s fully compatible with the EVX standalone and network systems.

The outstation is constructed from injection moulded green polycarbonate and features a green flashing button to aid location. Operation is via a single call/ cancel button. Pressing it once activates the call, and a second press cancels the call.

The outstation should be installed in the designated Refuge Point, which is usually located in a protected stairwell/stair lobby.
