Trainee Administrator

Location: Nelson, Head Office

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Administrator to work within our Client Design team at our Head Office in Nelson.

The role will involve a variety of administration tasks including typing quotations, managing e-mails, fulfilling print requests, filing, photocopying and other associated tasks.

A good level of computer literacy is essential, specifically the use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Work and Excel. The successful candidate will be expected to learn new tasks enthusiastically with the support of senior team members and will be able to develop into a multi-skilled administrator.

No previous experience is necessary although some previous work in an office environment will offer a distinct advantage.

The role is permanent, full time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. This is a good opportunity to work in a modern office environment whilst developing your administrative skills. We are an equal opportunities employer.

Credit Controller

Location: Nelson, Head Office

We are currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller at our Head Office in Nelson. The position is full time and permanent. 

Duties will include the day to day running of customer accounts, controlling the debtor’s ledger, dealing with solicitors and communicating with clients regarding their accounts including chasing payments and providing documentation where required. You will work on a large amount of live accounts including credit vetting, collecting, allocating cash and reconciling the accounts. Responding to customer queries in a timely manner and providing required information will also be necessary. 

The ideal candidate will be need to have previous experience of Credit Control, experience within the Construction industry being advantageous. In addition to this applicants will need to have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst using discretion and diplomacy is essential, along with being familiar with the Microsoft Office suite and be capable of communicating with people at all levels of the business.

PHP/Web Developer

Location: Nelson, Head Office

Due to continued expansion we are looking to recruit a PHP/Web Developer to join our development team at our Head Office in Nelson, Lancashire. 

The successful applicant will be working in a small team responsible for delivering and supporting internal web based applications to meet our business requirements.

Candidates must have strong technical knowledge of PHP, MYSQL, JavaScript, and HTML. Knowledge of MSSQL, CSS, Jquery, and Apache is not essential but would be advantageous. 

Desirable qualities include the willingness/ability to learn and adapt, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users and work in a dynamic environment.

Small Works Engineer

Location: Midlands, South & South West

We have vacancies for Small Work Engineers in the Midlands, South and South West areas. You will be required to work on the supply, fit and commission of Fire Alarm and associated equipment. You will be responsible for the installation of new systems as well as additions to existing systems installed by Protec Fire Detection and others

Candidates must have a high degree of reliability, self motivation and an ability to work independently and provide solutions on site. Candidates must be organised and able to submit the required paperwork in a timely manner.

Minimum forty hour working week with "On Call" rota  and overtime. A company vehicle is provided for which a valid driving licence is essential.

Small Works Assistant

Location: London

We have a number of vacancies for Small Works Assistants in the London area, in particular Croydon, Maidstone and the surrounding areas. You will be required to provide assistance to an experienced Installation Engineer in the supply, fit and commission of Fire Alarm and associated equipment. The aim is to learn and develop the skills needed to become a fully qualified Installation Engineer. 

Whilst not essential candidates studying for or who have an electrical engineering qualification will have an advantage. We will however accept applications from candidates who would like to commence a career in this industry and who are willing to attend college either day release or evenings to gain an ONC electrical/electronic qualification and or who have relevant hands on experience in the electrical service or security contracting industry.  

Minimum forty hour working week with overtime.
