SMT Department Team Member
Working within our Production Facility the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Team Member is to be responsible for operating machines within the department used for the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs), using surface mount technology, solder paste screen printing and optical inspection machines. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure the production of high-quality electronic assemblies.

Typical Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor process machines (pick and place, screen printer, AOI etc.) for PCB assembly.
- Load and unload PCBs and components onto machines according to production requirements.
- Ensure accurate placement of components.
- Inspect assembled PCBs for quality, ensuring proper component placement and soldering.
- Perform visual inspections to verify that assemblies meet the required specifications.
- Document inspection results and report any quality issues to the supervisor.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and production targets.
- Identify potential issues in the production line and communicate with the team to resolve problems quickly.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
- Ensure that all work complies with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
