Technical Coordinator (Research and Development Department)

Protec's Research and Development department has an opportunity for a Technical Coordinator. The successful candidate must possess excellent organisational and communication skills, keen attention to detail, knowledge of industry products and services.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Strategically planning and scheduling engineering activities using Microsoft DevOps to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager (PJM) to align internal timelines to master project plans.
  • Continuously update and refine engineering plans to reflect evolving project requirements and resource availability.
  • Schedule internal engineering meetings, including chairing discussions and documenting minutes for follow-up actions.
  • Manage and prioritize incoming workflow to the R&D department, minimizing disruption and optimizing resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency across engineering teams.
  • Determine any risks to meeting agreed timescales, and work on mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee staff leave scheduling and approvals to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of project execution.
  • Perform administrative functions in support of the Product Engineering Process (PEP), including documentation and reporting.
  • Coordinate invoicing and audit activities with regulatory and external approval bodies.
  • Maintain and support product documentation across internal departments and external approval bodies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the engineering department as needed
