Leading The Way with The Event Leeds

Following the success of The Event Manchester, we turned our attention to Leeds! A region where we believe presents an opportunity for Protec growth. this, our aim was to generate a buzz around Protec, strengthen relationships with existing clients, engage with new audiences, and deliver a day that was both informative and engaging for all attendees.

The Event Leeds centred on education, awareness and communication through a variety of certified CPD sessions, exhibitor showcases, a keynote speaker, and an industry panel featuring some of the most prominent names in the security sector. Throughout the day, product demonstrations offered ideal opportunities for networking and hands-on learning.

What Happened at The Event Leeds?

We curated a full and engaging agenda for the event, carefully prioritising what we believed would deliver the most value to our guests. CPD sessions ran hourly throughout the day, offering industry professionals the chance to earn CPD points and deepen their knowledge and expertise.

While the sessions were underway, other attendees took the opportunity to network, explore our exhibitor stands, and engage in meaningful conversations with Protec specialists across various industry sectors and disciplines.

After lunch, everyone came together for a powerful and moving keynote from Figen Murray. She shared her personal story following the tragic Manchester Arena attack and spoke about the motivation behind Martyn’s Law, highlighting its importance and the anticipated impact on the security landscape.

The conversation was both insightful and educational conversation, highlighting both the significance and potential impact of the legislation.

To close the day, we hosted a final CPD session focused on the future of AI in security. Networking continued until 5 p.m., allowing attendees ample time to connect and reflect on the day’s key takeaways.

Where Did We Host The Event Leeds?

The Event Leeds took place on 15th May at Aspire, situated in the heart of Leeds city centre. The venue featured a two-storey layout, designed to maximise engagement and interaction. The Ground Floor served as the central hub for networking and live product demonstrations. Here, attendees experienced hands-on showcases of cutting-edge solutions such as the 6500 WODU, Cirrus HYBRID, and a variety of security products and fire suppression systems, all brought to life by Protec specialists. This area also housed our hospitality, contributing to the event’s vibrant and social atmosphere.

The mezzanine-style second floor was thoughtfully divided into dedicated zones for focused learning and discussion. It featured spaces for networking and CPD sessions, connected by a central walkway lined with exhibitor stands from Axis, Checkfire Ltd, VID FIREKILL, Hirsch, and Bi3. This walkway overlooked the main stage on the ground floor from a balcony, providing guests with the perfect viewing platform for our keynote speaker, Figen Murray and the industry panel discussions.
