In addition to this, as an Electronic/Electrical Engineer, you will receive the following:
- A wage of £26,400 – £37,000 rising to £45,500 in London
- Paid travel time
- Overtime
- Engineer commission on additional sales of products & services
- On-call standby allowance

Your role with us:
Being on the front line of life safety and pivotal in protecting our customers’ lives and property. As one of our engineers, you are responsible for providing and maintaining a host of life safety systems for some of the country’s most prestigious buildings.
Day-to-day life as an electrical/electronics engineer will see you complete scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks such as system repairs of electrical/electronic devices and commissioning life safety systems. The job will also mean fulfilling the relevant documentation and ensuring customers’ life safety systems align with current British Standards.

Qualifications
Due to the nature of the position being in the life safety industry, we must ensure the right person is servicing and maintaining these systems. We are looking for engineers with experience in electronics/electrical engineering, ideally through time spent in the industry or having relevant qualifications such as City Guilds, ONC, HNC etc.
Experience
Experience in electrical/electronic engineering would be needed for this role. However, experience in the fire and security industry would not be essential, as full system training is provided when joining the team.
Skills and Abilities

For this reason, we ask that all our engineers represent themselves and Protec in the best way possible through appearance, exceptional punctuality, communication skills and document control.
Other
The position of an engineer will involve attending various sites in your area, so you must carry a full valid UK driving licence.
Engineers benefit from generous overtime, which means you will be part of an ‘On Call’ rota with other engineers where you will attend customers’ sites outside regular working hours, so it should be considered when applying for the role.
